Its tidal pool further ensures that the needs of every beach lover is satisfied. The village also boasts a tennis and bowls club, several fine restaurants and local shops and a supermarket for everyday needs. More comprehensive shopping is provided by the nearby towns of Ramsgate, Margate and Shelly Beach with two large shopping malls. Southbroom has active community initiatives that co-ordinate to ensure that the civic pride, value and lifestyle pleasures of the village are protected and maintained.
